There are many industry terms for a Furniture Mover..loader, humper, helper, laborer...but in this role you work with a Driver and crew and customer to perform a household or commercial move.

You will perform packing and in state moves or pick up shipments going out of state and bring them back to the warehouse/dock. You will be home at the end of the day, unless you choose to go on a 'short haul' shipment which means an overnight trip to regional destinations like DE, VA, or PA for example.

Moving furniture requires strategic thinking as you want to perform your job safely and efficiently. It also requires the stamina to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. The good news is your boss is not usually hanging over your shoulder, but you must follow the lead of the Driver or Crew Lead and have a team player attitude. It is enjoyable to see different homes, cities and states and meet all different kinds of people.

Sea Cure does not perform clean outs, evictions, or hazardous debris removal. Our customers are usually families, professionals, retirees, seniors, and interior designers.

Sea Cure Moving was established in 1981 and is over 40 years family owned and operated. We work closely with our team members. We do not require you to do anything we have not done ourselves. We strive to maintain high standards so even if a candidate comes with moving experience, we sometimes must adjust habits. But we too are always willing to learn something new.
